Photographer Davide Tranchina uses photograms to further accentuate surreal shapes like pirate ships, atomic clouds and far away galaxies in his latest exhibit, Big Bang. Now showing at the Nicoletta Rusconi Gallery, these works are large format black and white close-ups obtained by scanning the negative shadow images left on photographic paper by objects placed in contact with it. Though the technique is not original, while doing so with such dream-like objects, he's adding a new dimension to creative story telling.
