New York based interior designer, Nathan Egan does not stop short with artwork. His design portfolio has incredible variety when it comes to the art of display. I've gathered some of my favorites.

Artist, Pae White

Artist Pae White of L.A. is preparing for a new exhibition for the Power Plant in Toronto. The exhibition, which opens on Oct. 9, will feature a number of her recent tapestry works as well as a new commissioned tapestry called “Sea Beast.” Her tapestries of smoke have gotten her lots of deserved attention. At this size, the pieces are stunning.

Portland's Scout Books sell handy little pocket notebooks in basic and custom colors. Who doesn't love the idea of custom designed desk candy? They use recycled paper and soy ink. Go Scout!

Cake Bunting from Kiki La Rue

This is about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Kiki La Ru creates custom miniature bunting to decorate cakes. These sweet pieces aren't just for kids.

The Great Outdoors in Photographs

PDN just conducted a photo contest with the theme of The Great Outdoors. These images are all stunning and appear to be unreal, but they truly are images of the nature around us. I could have posted them all, but here is just a selection of some of the winning shots.

Nope, laptop case! Shuky is a Melbourne based design company, specializing in leather laptop accessories. This piece, known as the Par Avion, is available in other colors and is made of leather. It's beautiful and would be so cool on your desk.

Fun in the Kitchen with MyDeco

UK based company, MyDeco has some fun items including these tabletop accessories called "Egg & Soldiers" designed by Takae. Want to make meal time more fun for the kids? You must visit their site.

JamesPlumb Does Hostem

Design lovers revel in the material from Dezeen and I'm no different. They recently showcased this retail space for Hostem in London designed by JamesPlumb. The tented treatment really works with the masculine product line. It's as if you entered a rations tent for the young, rugged Englishman. Most of the materials are salvaged, including the church pew for check out.

You CAN Have a Fireplace

Small apartment dwellers rejoice! Designer Ilkka Suppanen created this neat and modern fireplace meant to be used inside your home in normal temperature. It's 380 x 430 mm and available at Iittala.
